The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is celebrating as Deputy Devin Bohannon of the Uniformed Patrol Division has graduated from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in Camden on August 1, 2025.
Bohannon completed the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course, a comprehensive 13-week program totaling 649 hours. This training is crucial for equipping new officers with essential skills and knowledge for law enforcement roles across Arkansas.
Graduates who successfully complete the course, followed by a one-year probationary period, become certified law enforcement officers in the state.
The Sheriff’s Office commended Bohannon for his dedication and perseverance throughout the rigorous training.
“We are proud of Deputy Bohannon and his hard work, resilience, and dedication displayed during this training period and look forward to seeing him move forward in his career as a law enforcement officer with the JCSO,” Major John Bean said in a press release.
