The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is recognizing two deputies for completing one of the state’s most demanding law enforcement training programs.

Deputies Cortney Fox and Chastin Stephens have graduated from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy, marking a key milestone in their law enforcement careers.

The academy is known for its rigorous training, preparing recruits for the challenges of policing through instruction in criminal and constitutional law, defensive tactics, firearms proficiency, emergency vehicle operations and community-oriented policing. The program is designed to test recruits both physically and mentally, with a focus on discipline and professionalism.
