Jefferson County Collector Tony Washington has officially launched his campaign for re-election, promising continued progress and innovation in how the county manages and collects property taxes.
“Better days are coming,” Washington declared as he announced his bid for another term. “I’m running for re-election to continue serving you with integrity and commitment. We’re not done yet — let’s keep building a better future for all of Jefferson County.”
Washington has served as county collector through both challenges and milestones, and he credits teamwork and innovation for the strides his office has made. During his tenure, the Jefferson County Collector’s Office has become a model for others across Arkansas, implementing real-time tax collection systems that have placed Jefferson County at the forefront of modernization efforts.
“These upgrades have not only made our services more efficient, they’ve set a new standard across the state,” said Washington, noting that other counties are now following Jefferson County’s lead.
In addition to his role as county collector, Washington has served the past three years on the Continuing Education Board for the Arkansas Collectors Association. In that position, he has helped strengthen not only Jefferson County’s practices but also those of collector offices statewide.
With his re-election campaign now underway, Washington is asking voters for the opportunity to continue the momentum he says is already transforming the county’s operations.
“Public service is a responsibility I don’t take lightly,” he said. “With your support, we’ll keep pushing forward.”
