Jefferson County Bridges Face Urgent Repairs Following ARDOT Inspection

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) recently identified critical issues with several bridges in Jefferson County during routine inspections.

Because of the severity of these findings, the bridges will need to undergo repair or replacement in the near future.

Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson spoke with Deltaplex News regarding ARDOT’s report and its implications for the county.

Robinson discussed the timeline for completing the bridge work and addressed potential sources of funding for the repairs.

Robinson has scheduled a special Quorum Court meeting for 5:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss funding for the county road department. He tells Deltaplex News that Richmond Road Bridge is the bridge with the most pressing need at this time.
