A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Jacksonville man accused of pointing a gun at an off-duty police officer during an altercation.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Anthony Porter, 53, with aggravated assault.
According to a probable cause affidavit from Detective Ryan Edwards, police were sent to the El Morocco Club on West 10th Avenue Sunday in response to a report of gunshots.
Porter said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court Feb. 23.
