The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating allegations involving a student at Rison High School accused of requesting and sharing inappropriate content with other students.
According to Brad Young, the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department has launched an investigation into reports that a juvenile may have solicited inappropriate material and distributed similar content to other students.
Investigators are in the process of contacting parents of students who may have been affected. Officials are urging any parents who believe their child may have been approached in this manner to contact the sheriff’s department.
Authorities noted the investigation involves multiple reports, and they are asking for patience from the public as they work through the information.
Once the investigation is complete, findings will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney’s office for review and a determination on whether charges will be filed.
Due to the involvement of juveniles, officials said specific details about the case cannot be released at this time.
