Hensley Man Killed in Three Vehicle Crash in Van Buren County

A 61-year-old Hensley man was killed Monday afternoon in a three-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 65 in rural Van Buren County, according to the Arkansas State Police.

The crash happened at 12:51 p.m. when a 2025 Toyota traveling north on U.S. 65 crossed the centerline while negotiating a curve and struck a southbound 2018 Ram. The impact caused the Ram to rotate into the northbound lane, where it was struck by a 1996 Peterbilt truck.

The driver of the Ram, identified as Timothy McFarland, 61, of Hensley, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Van Buren County Coroner. No other injuries were reported.

Weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident, the report noted.
