The Pine Bluff Police Department has named Michael Henderson as its 2025 Officer of the Year.
Henderson, a Pine Bluff native, has served with the department for seven years. He recently joined the Oldies 101.3 Morning Show to talk about the honor and reflect on his path to becoming a police officer.
He recalled how he was hired onto the force and spoke about the department’s high volume of daily calls, noting the demands and responsibilities that come with serving the community.
Before joining law enforcement, Henderson worked at Dillard’s. He shared how his experiences there ultimately influenced his decision to pursue a career in policing.
