The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a missing man who walked away from a residential facility near the county line.
On July 15, 2025, deputies received a report from the Birch Tree Community, located at 12453 Highway 35 near the Saline and Grant County line, regarding the disappearance of Jesus Echeverria. Staff at the facility stated that Echeverria walked off sometime between 4 p.m. and 12 a.m. on July 14.
According to investigators, Echeverria suffers from schizophrenia and is under a court order to remain at the facility. As of July 15, the Pulaski County Circuit Court has issued a pickup order for him to be taken into custody and transported to an appropriate mental health facility.
Authorities urge the public to use extreme caution if they come into contact with Echeverria and to not approach him. Anyone with information about his location is asked to contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (870) 942-2101.
