Kevin James, who starred as Doug Heffernan is the hit series King Of Queens will be portraying Arkansas golf legend John Daly in a limited series expected to begin filming this fall. The 57 year old Daly, who played golf at the University of Arkansas and won both the PGA and the British Open, last made the cut in the PGA Championship 12 years ago, is the only golfer on the tour cleared to use a cart due to osteoarthritis in his left knee and type 2 diabetes. James played in another sports movie last year, when he portrayed former Saints and now Broncos coach Sean Payton in the Netflix movie “Home Team”. There is no information on whether filming will be done in Arkansas. Daly, who was born in California, moved to Dardanelle, Arkansas when he was four years old.
