The list of candidates is set for the March 3, 2026, preferential primary election, according to the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office. The filing period closed Wednesday, with dozens of candidates entering local, county, and school board races.
Early voting will begin on February 16, and the deadline to register to vote is February 2, according to the Arkansas Secretary of State’s Office.
The winners in each primary will either advance to the November 3, 2026, general election—if candidates from more than one political party have filed—or take office on January 1, 2027.
Political designations are listed as D for Democrat, R for Republican, and I for Independent.
