Current Deputy Chief of Staff in the Sixth Division of Circuit Court Eric Walden Jr., recently announced his candidacy for Jefferson County Judge and appearing on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show, he explained why.
Walden mentioned employees not getting paid, prompting Morning Show host Greg Horne to say that since Walden was running for county judge, he assumed Walden placed most of the blame for that on the current county judge.
Horne then asked Walden where he wanted to lead the county outside the issues with the Quorum Court.
Walden went on to say that retaining employees is important since the county has lost a number of employees because of the delay in getting paid and for other reasons.
Horne then asked Walden about current County Judge Gerald Robinson who has frequently said that county government needs to cut back because of declining population and where he saw the issue of the number of personnel the county needed.
