With the political filing season set for later this year, various people have announced their intention to seek political office, including Eric Walden Jr., who has announced he will be a candidate for Jefferson County Judge.
Walden, who currently works for juvenile court, was a guest on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where he was asked by host Greg Horne about GVI and the role the judiciary played in it.
Horne said that looking at the statistics, GVI appears to have had a tremendously positive impact on young people in the city and county.
Horne also said that to be successful, the program has got to be an on-going effort.
