There have been a lot of questions regarding the status of the White Bluff power plant in Jefferson County in recent months, but those questions have been answered by Entergy.
It is expected to be formally announced soon that Entergy will invest $1.5 billion into a 750 megawatt power plant at White Bluff.
District 93 State Representative Mike Holcomb spoke with Deltaplex News on Wednesday to discuss the investment.
Holcomb said the project will take a couple of years to complete with more improvements to be announced later, saying this will also help the White Hall School District.
Holcomb said that he hopes this will help investments come through for the gas power plant that has been rumored for Jefferson County as well.
The official announcement for the White Bluff power plant investment is expected to be announced on Thursday.
