Jefferson Regional Medical Center has named Dr. Asif Masood as its new chief of staff.
Hospital officials announced that Dr. Masood, an oncologist and hematologist at the Jefferson Regional Jones-Dunklin Cancer Center, officially began his two-year term on Jan. 1, 2026.
Dr. Masood has served patients at Jefferson Regional through his work in cancer care and blood disorders and is recognized for his commitment to patient-centered treatment and medical excellence.
Hospital leadership said Dr. Masood brings experience, compassion and strong leadership to the role, qualities that will help guide the hospital’s medical staff and support Jefferson Regional’s mission of providing high-quality care to the region.
Jefferson Regional officials expressed confidence that Dr. Masood’s leadership will help strengthen clinical services and advance patient care throughout the organization.
