The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) announced that late fees will be waived for all vehicle registrations that expired this week, following weather-related closures of state offices across Arkansas.
According to DFA officials, the waiver applies to any vehicle registration renewed by Friday, Feb. 6, ensuring Arkansans are not penalized for delays caused by the closures.
To help accommodate increased customer demand, DFA will also extend operating hours at several Revenue Offices statewide next week, including offices in Pine Bluff, White Hall, and Monticello. Those locations will remain open until 6 p.m. on designated weekdays to assist residents with registration renewals and other services.
DFA Secretary Jim Hudson said employees will also work throughout the weekend to clear a backlog of online transactions submitted during the closures.
“In addition to waived fees and extended hours, DFA employees will work this weekend to process online transactions from this week,” Hudson said. “This will increase the availability of employees to address immediate customer needs when Revenue Offices open Monday morning. We know many Arkansans will be visiting our offices, and we will be prepared to serve them.”
Extended hours will be offered at Revenue Offices across the state, including Pine Bluff, White Hall, Monticello, and more than 20 other locations. Some offices will remain open until 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
DFA officials also reminded the public that Arkansans now have the option to schedule appointments for Revenue Office services. The appointment system, launched in 2025, allows staff to prepare in advance for customer needs and helps reduce wait times. Tens of thousands of appointments have already been completed through the program.
Many Revenue Office services are also available online at any time, including vehicle registration renewals, ordering duplicate driver’s licenses, personalized license plates, and checking the status of a vehicle title. Appointments and online services can be accessed at mydmv.arkansas.gov.
