  • Monday, October 27 – Lake Village Branch Library, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Wednesday, October 29 – Monticello Branch Library, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Pro Bono Week, celebrated nationally during the last week of October, recognizes attorneys who volunteer their time and expertise to assist individuals and organizations that may not otherwise be able to afford legal services.

Services offered during these clinics will include preparation of general and healthcare powers of attorney for first responders and their spouses or partners. These legal documents authorize a trusted individual to make financial, legal, or medical decisions on someone’s behalf in the event of illness, injury, or incapacity.

Registration is limited to 30 participants per clinic and is required to determine eligibility. Participants must live or work in Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Desha, or Drew counties. Those interested can register online at www.tinyurl.com/3nfuzwyp.

The clinics are being held in partnership with the Southeast Arkansas Regional Library and NAACP Drew County Legal Redress. Attorneys interested in volunteering can contact Attorney Tabitha Lee for more information.
