Dawn Creekmore Announces Bid for Arkansas House District 92 in 2026 Election

Former State Representative Dawn Creekmore has announced her intent to run for State Representative for District 92, the position currently held by Representative Julie Mayberry, who has confirmed she will not seek reelection. The Republican Primary is scheduled for March 3, 2026.

District 92 includes portions of Grant and Saline Counties.

Creekmore previously served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. During her tenure, she was an advocate for children and victims of domestic violence and helped establish the state’s first task force to study the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. She also supported significant tax cuts and said she worked toward a smaller, more transparent government.

“I was fortunate to be elected to the House of Representatives in 2005 until 2011 and really enjoyed serving,” Creekmore said in a statement. “I look forward to speaking with the people in Grant and Saline Counties about my experience and asking for their vote and support in the upcoming election.”

Currently, Creekmore serves as a mortgage and loan advisor for Peoples Bank. She also served on the Saline County Quorum Court for six years following her time in the legislature. Throughout her career, she has received endorsements from the NRA, Arkansas Right to Life, the Arkansas Professional Fire Fighters Association, and the Saline County Fraternal Order of Police.

Creekmore has also been recognized with several awards, including the Domestic Peace Award, Abate Freedom Champion Award, and Outstanding Advocate Award. She was also named the AARP Champion for legislation supporting seniors.

She and her husband, Mike, have been married for 41 years and reside in East End. They have two daughters and two grandsons and are active members of East End Baptist Church.
