A Warren man was arrested Sunday, October 5, 2025, after a traffic stop in Drew County led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

According to the Drew County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Tyler Grant was patrolling the area of Highway 278 West near the Monticello Sports Complex when he observed a motorcycle leaving the complex at a high rate of speed, traveling eastbound toward Monticello.

Deputy Grant conducted a traffic stop on the motorcycle, which was driven by 53-year-old Mark Womble of Warren. Authorities say Womble, a level 2 sex offender currently on parole, was searched during the stop. Deputies reportedly found a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia.
