The Cleveland County School Board has selected Clark Construction of Little Rock to construct the new gym at the Rison School Campus.
According to the Cleveland County Herald, Clark was selected over three other companies, Kinco Construction of Little Rock, Broady Richardson Construction of Sheridan and Baldwin & Shell Construction, also of Little Rock.
At a special board meeting, company representatives said they had completed 12 projects over the past 15 years, including the new Student Success Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello and the new gyms at Monticello and Warren High Schools.
The project is expected to be completed by August 2027 in time for the 2027-2028 school year.
There was no discussion of a price tag for the new gym at the special meeting.
