Chris Lowery Announces Candidacy for Jefferson County Sheriff

Chris Lowery, a former White Hall police officer, Pulaski County Deputy, U.S. Air Force veteran, and owner of Diamond State K9, has officially announced his candidacy for Jefferson County sheriff in the November 2026 election.

Lowery, who is campaigning under the slogan “Courage to Run; Experience to Lead,” says his blend of military service, law enforcement background, and experience as a small business owner has prepared him to take on the county’s top law enforcement role.
