Several counties in the Deltaplex area have issued burn bans in the past 24 hours, with more announced on Tuesday.
Local officials are urging residents to follow the restrictions, citing dry conditions and an increased risk of wildfires. The bans prohibit outdoor burning, including brush piles, debris, and other open flames, until conditions improve.
Counties currently under burn bans include:
- Arkansas
- Ashley
- Desha
- Drew
- Lincoln
- Prairie
