Westerman went on to explain more.

Merrill then offered an example of River Valley and Deltaplex Radio Owner Greg Horne wanting to build another radio station and put up a 500-foot tower. He said Horne obtained a construction permit but before he begin to clear the land or dig holes for the tower, he will have to complete National Environmental Protection Act survey to ensure the location will not be a danger to birds or endangered species, and check with Indian tribes to ensure the location is not a native American burial site.

“If somebody has got to go through that for a small project, I can’t imagine what large projects like data centers got to through.

Westerman was also asked if he was getting feedback from constituents about datacenters in Arkansas.
