Last week’s winter storm caused widespread disruptions, forcing schools, government offices, and businesses to close temporarily. Now, the storm has led to major damage at Brookshire’s in White Hall.
The grocery store suffered significant structural damage after its roof partially collapsed under the weight of ice and snow. White Hall Mayor Noel Foster confirmed to Deltaplex News that the building has since been condemned by the City of White Hall.
Foster added that Brookshire’s deserves credit for how quickly and professionally the company has responded to the situation.
At this time, it remains unclear whether Brookshire’s plans to rebuild at the site now that the building has been condemned.
