Jennifer Barbaree has announced she is leaving the Pine Bluff School District to take a position with the Springdale School District in Northwest Arkansas.
According to the announcement from Springdale, Barbaree will be the new Assistant Superintendent.
They said in their release that she brings more than two decades of experience in education, including her role here in Pine Bluff.
Springdale officials say Barbaree’s educational background, leadership experience and commitment to student success made her a standout candidate for the position.
Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland and in a statement that “Jennifer stood out as a candidate not just for her remarkable resume, but for her genuine heart for students and her collaborative spirit.
Her move to Springdale marks a new chapter for Barbaree, moving to one of the largest districts in the state. More information on her departure and a search for a replacement will be coming.
