At the request of the Star City Police Department, the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has launched an investigation into the death of Ann Ward, 79, of Star City.
According to authorities, Ward visited a health clinic in Star City on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, seeking treatment for injuries. She was later transferred to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, where doctors determined her injuries were life-threatening.
Ward was then transported by med-flight to UAMS in Little Rock. Despite medical efforts, she passed away on July 10, 2025.
The ASP Criminal Investigation Division has not released additional details, and the investigation remains ongoing.
