The Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division has joined an investigation in Dermott after a local man was found dead Saturday evening, November 8.
According to the Dermott Police Department, officers discovered 61-year-old Fredrick Woods deceased at the intersection of North Norwood and West Willow streets. Evidence at the scene indicates that Woods was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
His body will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where medical examiners will determine the exact cause and manner of death.
Authorities have not released any information about potential suspects or the vehicle involved.
