The City of Altheimer experienced a water emergency Thursday evening that continued into the night, cutting off running water to the entire city.
Deltaplex News was on scene as Jefferson County and Saracen Casino Resort provided water to residents around 7 p.m. for immediate use. By approximately 10:30 p.m., water service had been restored to portions of the city.
Altheimer Mayor Zola Hudson spoke with Deltaplex News Friday morning about the outage, saying crews are still working to locate the problem areas and fully restore service.
Hudson discussed which areas of Altheimer have had water service restored.
Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson also spoke with Deltaplex News about the efforts involved in providing water to Altheimer residents Thursday evening.
