$50,000 Bond Set For Pine Bluff Man Facing Charges of Kidnapping and Burglary

A $50,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of breaking into a residence and taking a child that had been inside it.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Desmond Marks, 26, with aggravated residential burglary and kidnapping.

Reading from an affidavit by Pine Bluff Police Detective Ryan Edwards, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said on Friday, police were sent to a residence in Chapel Heights in response to a reported disturbance call.

Marks was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Sept. 22. He said he would hire his own attorney.
