A 15-year-old girl was tragically killed after being attacked by a pack of dogs in Saline County on Wednesday, June 11.
Emergency dispatchers received a call around 12:15 p.m. reporting that a female had been mauled by multiple dogs near Vimy Ridge Road in the Alexander area. First responders from the Northeast Saline County Fire Department arrived at the scene, located on White Oak Drive, and a coroner was called shortly after.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) confirmed that the victim was a 15-year-old girl who was attacked by more than 10 dogs.
The Criminal Investigations Division of the SCSO has taken over the case, and all dogs involved have since been seized and secured. Authorities have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Further details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the attack have not been released as the investigation continues.
