One of the major jobs for a County Judge in Arkansas is to see that the roads in the county are maintained.

Lincoln County Judge Buddy Earnest appeared on the Oldies 101.3 morning show Monday and was asked about the roads in his county, especially after the ice and snow storm that occurred less than two weeks ago.

Earnest, who said he will run for reelection, said there are 500 plus miles of gravel roads in the county, many of them public access roads and the county has six graders to try and take care of those roads.

He was also asked about the federal money that the cities and counties received as part of the American Rescue Plan to combat the effects of COVID-19.

Earnest said the cost of replacing the air conditioning was about $1 million.
