Last night at about 9:40 PM, Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to the area of 2833 S. Orlando for a reported shooting. When they arrived, officers located a male with apparent gunshot wounds lying near the edge of Orlando St. in front of 2833 S. Orlando. The male was later identified as a 17-year-old juvenile. The victim was transported by ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses and investigating the scene. The motive for this shooting is still undetermined at this time. There is no suspect information to be released at the time of this release. The homicide victim’s identity will not be released due to the victim’s age.
