Iowa Defensive Coordinator Phil Parker has been awarded the 2023 Broyles Award as the top assistant coach in America. The award, named for the legendary Arkansas Coach was handed out in Little Rock. Parker’s defense at Iowa was the best in the country. He beat Georgia OC Mike Bobo, Michigan OC Sherrone Moore, LSU OC Mike Debrock and Oregon OC Will Stein.
