Fireworks shows to celebrate the Fourth of July are planned at several locations in Grant County, according to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper.
Events include what the paper described as one of the most attended events, the annual fireworks show in Prattsville, sponsored by the Prattsville Fire Department.
Fire Chief Brodie Hope told the newspaper that the fireworks will start around 9 p.m. and the show is expected to last over 15 minutes.
The Poyen First Assembly of God Church will sponsor a fireworks show July 3 at the Poyen Sports Complex with activities starting at 6:30 p.m. Those activities will include foot races, three-legged races, and sack races. The fireworks show is expected to begin about 9 p.m.
Church pastor David Keisler said the church has been hosting a fireworks show for seven years.
