Tink Hence has opened a lot of eyes this spring and continues to make a push towards getting on the Cardinals big league roster. The former Watson Chapel pitcher was one of the St Louis representatives in inaugural Spring Breakout Games. These games highlight the best prospects across Major League Baseball. Hence started Friday’s game against the Marlins and showed electric stuff, giving up no runs and just one hit in two innings, while not issuing a walk about striking out three. Hence has not allowed a run this spring and with several Cardinal pitchers nursing injuries could find himself under the Gateway Arch sooner than later.
