Former Justice of the Peace for Jefferson County’s District 5 Jimmy Fisher has filed to run for his old post. Fisher forgo running 2 years ago to seek the Jefferson County Treasures position, but lost to incumbent Tony Washington. By not running for JP, Fisher’s open seat was given to controversial JP Lloyd Franklin Jr when he was only candidate to file for the position.
Fisher gave Deltaplex the following statement:
“Hello, I’m Jimmy Fisher, your former Justice of the Peace for Jefferson County’s District 5. I played a significant role in the construction of our new veterans service office, coroner’s office, and health unit. I believe in unity and collaboration, something our quorum court needs. My opponent may not share this vision, but I know from experience that it’s the key to progress. I’m ready to return, to continue our progress, to advance Jefferson County even further. Together, we can build bridges, not walls. Vote Jimmy Fisher for Justice of the Peace. Let’s keep building a brighter future for Jefferson County, together.”
