A member of the Pine Bluff School Board and a graduate of the Pine Bluff School System on Wednesday talked about the millage campaign that is currently underway to generate funds to build a new high school in the city.

Dr. Cedric Rice was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show and was asked why he is so passionate about the students in the district and why he is working so hard to see the millage approved.

Rice was asked about the effects of the millage on homeowners, and if it passes, would all the money raised go toward the new school?

Morning show host Greg Horne asked Rice what the benefits of the new high school would be and Rice answered this way.

Horne also asked if the millage does not pass and if no new high school is built, will the state changes their mind about returning the district to local control.
