Shoppers at Dollar Tree stores nationwide may be getting sticker shock. The chain is expected to once again raise the maximum price on items from $5 to $7 dollars. They announced in their latest earnings report that they will be adding hundreds of new items. Price points will now range from $1.50 to $7. Dollar Tree said they are raising prices to be able to add more items to stores. The announcement came just days after they announced they would be closing more than 1,000 Family Dollar stores.
