As news of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) takes center stage across America medical professionals are providing information about the virus here in Arkansas.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health they are keeping tabs on numerous cases across the state.

As of today, there are now 830 confirmed cases in Arkansas. 97 people have recovered from the virus, while 16 Arkansan’s have died.

There are currently 67 patients in the hospital for the virus, with 27 of those patients breathing with the assistance of a ventilator. Additionally, there are 60 nursing home residents receiving treatment.

59.8 percent of the patients are female, while 40.2 percent are male.

There are 20 patients between the ages of 0-17, 49 patients between the ages of 18-24, 210 patients between the ages of 25-44, 263 patients between the ages of 45-64, and 201 patients over the age of 65.

There are 53 positive cases in Jefferson county, 1-4 positive cases in Arkansas, Bradley, Cleveland, Drew, and Grant counties, six positive cases in Lincoln county. Additionally, there are 139 positive cases in Pulaski county.
