Tom Cotton has come under fire nationally for saying the way to deal with pro-Palestinian protesters is to “take matters into their own hands”. He went on to say that if something like what is happening in San Francisco were tried in Arkansas, they would be thrown off the bridge.
Prostesters blocked several roadways across the country and shut down travel on the Golden Gate Bridge. Access to airports were also blocked. He posted on social media that it is time to “put an end to this nonsense”
He went on to say that if they glued their hands to a vehicle, they should have their skin ripped off. He said that is how it would be handled in Arkansas. Cotton also encouraged using physical force in 2020 during the George Floyd protest.
