The lack of skilled labor is a problem all over the country and affects the workload of a multitude of businesses and industries. This is especially true for Central Moloney, which has announced it will build a second plant in Florida to augment production taking place at its plant in Pine Bluff.

Appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show, Chris Hart, the CEO of Central Moloney talked about a conversation he had heard between morning show host Greg Horne and Allison Thompson, the CEO of the Economic Development Alliance for Jefferson County about a skilled workforce.

Horne said that the company is currently working with a number of school districts teaching welding and asked Hart if Central Moloney was also looking to do something outside the school districts, perhaps a Vo-Tech approach.

Horne then asked if that approach would be instead of what the company is currently doing in the school systems in Southeast Arkansas.
