A $5,000 cash-only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of entering a house Friday and attempting to assault a female.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Johnnie Holder, 36, with residential burglary and second-degree sexual assault.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Chris Wieland, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said police were sent to Ashley Drive in response to a reported sexual assault.

Carson said Holder has previous charges of possession of a controlled substance and second-degree battery, but court records show a 2009 judgment of acquittal on the grounds of mental disability or defect. He also has a pending charge of second-degree sexual assault in Hot Spring County. Carson said prosecutors there indicated Holder had been committed to DHS for 180 days of observation and was just released.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
