Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson has issued a burn ban for Jefferson County that is effective immediately as of Friday, July 15.

The burn ban has been issued due to a lack of needed precipitation, and dry conditions that exist all over Jefferson County. This increases the level of fire danger tremendously, according to a message from the Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management.

The ban includes all of Jefferson County to to include the cities of Pine Bluff, White hall, Altheimer, Sherrill, Wabbaseka, Humphrey, and Redfield.

The burn ban is effective immediately and will continue until further notice.
