Deltaplex News has just learned that King Cotton Classic is returning to Pine Bluff!

The popular event will be held on December 27, 2018.  This announcement was made shortly after 10:30am today during a press conference at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.

Cheerleaders from Pine Bluff High School were featured as officials from Go Forward Pine Bluff (GFPB) revealed the big news.  Hosted in partnership with the title sponsor Simmons First, the press conference included Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington, Ryan Watley, GFPB CEO, and George Makris, Chairman and CEO of Simmons First National Corp.

Arkansas teams set to participate include Pine Bluff High School and Jacksonville High School.  Other teams from across the U.S. who will join the event include Landry-Walker High School at New Orleans, LA, Columbus High School at Columbus, MS, Sam Houston High School at Houston, TX, Guliver Prep High School at Miami, FL, The Park Boys School at Buffalo, NY and many more.

The Pine Bluff Convention Center will undergo renovations, a source told Deltaplex News.  The facility will be getting a new video board, updated digital scores table, renovated floors and locker rooms, new lighting and fresh coats of paint throughout the Concourse.

Tickets for the King Cotton Classic go on sale in November.
