The Arkansas Activities Association has released the new football classification numbers for the 2024-26 seasons, and two Deltaplex area schools are going to be affected by the new numbers.

Pine Bluff will move up to Class 6A from Class 5A in the cycle after consolidating with Dollarway. The Zebras have been competing in Class 5A while Dollarway competed in Class 3A.

The two schools combining makes Pine Bluff the 13th largest district in Class 6A, followed by Jacksonville, Searcy, and Texarkana.

Moving down will be Dumas. The Bobcats have been playing in Class 4A, and will be moving down into Class 3A for the cycle. They will be the fourth largest school in Class 3A behind Harrisburg, Fouke, and Manilla.

Stuttgart – Class 4A

DeWitt – Class 4A

Drew Central – Class 3A

Rison – Class 3A

Fordyce – Class 3A

Poyen – Class 2A

England – Class 2A

Dermott – Class 2A

The Woodlawn Bears will continue to play in the Sanctioned 1A-2A 8-man football division.
