The Arkansas state football championship games are kicking off this week and they will be played at War Memorial Stadium. Bobby Swofford, the Assistant Executive Director of the AAA joined Rick Walker on Sunrise Deltaplex to talk about them and other topics. Rick asked him his feelings about how it’s refreshing to see some new names at the top
In early January, the selection process will take place to decide who will host not only this year’s basketball state tournament, but the sites for the next calendar year championships. Last year, the 5A tournament was hosted in Pine Bluff and Rick asked Bobby if there is a chance it could happen again
They also disussed the upcoming broadcasts of this weekend’s games
Rick also asked Bobby just how much the media landscape in the state will miss the retiring Craig O’Neill
