Removing blight and trying to improve the appearance of Pine Bluff has been a major focus of Go Forward Pine Bluff and the Urban Renewal Agency, as well as an emphasis on improving the downtown area.
On Wednesday, Ryan Watley, the CEO of Go Forward Pine Bluff and Maurice Taggart, director of the Urban Renewal Agency were guests on the Oldies 101.3 morning show and Taggart talked said his agency is staying busy.
The Urban Renewal area is bordered on the south by 34th Avenue and on the north side by the Martha Mitchell Expressway. The east and west borders are Ohio Street and Hazel Street respectively.
Taggart was also asked about the downtown area.
Watley then expanded on the role of Go Forward Pine Bluff in the process.
