Steven Pinell of White Hall, AR was charged with failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

During a probable cause hearing on Thursday morning, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Holden Raines said that Pinell attempted to get into a White Hall residence earlier this week.  He was not living there but “claimed” this was his address, Raines said.

Pinell, 44, is a Level 2 registered sex offender with a rape conviction.  He asked if he could return to his job in Monticello but the court declined his request.

“He has history in the form of a rape conviction,” Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney said.

Pinell is being held on a $25,000 secured bond.
