The Star City School District is collecting school supply donations as it prepares for its annual SCSD/Bright Futures Stuff the Bus campaign to help students get ready for the upcoming school year.
Community members can now drop off donations at several locations throughout Star City, including both Dollar General stores, Piggly Wiggly, Factory Surplus, and First Assembly.
The district will also host its Stuff the Bus event on Friday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Star City Civic Center.
Requested donation items include notebooks, scissors, crayons, colored pencils, paper, pencils, pens, glue sticks, binders and erasers.
The annual drive helps provide school supplies for local students and gives community members an opportunity to support Star City families as they prepare for the new school year.
