A $2,500 secured bond was set for a Pine Bluff man accused of threatening his children’s lives when they wouldn’t cooperate with him.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge 33-year-old Jesse Reynolds with 3 Counts of Terroristic Threatening in the 1st degree.

Reading from an affidavit by detective Jason Boykin, the Prosecuting Attorney said on June 26th, officers responded to domestic disturbance at Greenway Dr.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the mother of Jesse’s children, who states that the children told her their father was going to punch them and drown them in a lake.

Officers then made contact with the child victims, 8, 6 and 4, to which the older two said their father stated he was going to kill them.

They also mention the incident occurred Near Wingstop.

The mother showed officers text messages she had received from Reynolds before the incident occurred.

Reynolds called the mother, stating that the children wouldn’t behave and he was going to throw them into the water.

The children stated Reynolds said he was going to drive into the water with them.

When Reynolds was questioned, he states he didn’t say he was going to kill them, just that he was going to throw them into the water.

He states his anxiety was just getting bad as they wouldn’t sit down and listen to him.

The officer advised Reynolds not to say that to his children.

He is ordered to have no contact with the children and is scheduled to return to court August 19th.
